Lost messages ... are not lost
Hi all.The messages lost on this message board I think are not lost at all. To help me restore them, I'm closing this message board temporarily.

Oh dear
Hi allI don't think the messages are all lost. I think I can restore most, if not all of them, so don't worry!
To help me fix this, I'm closing this message board for now.

Themes
The website is fully themed. This means that you can choose a colour theme and font theme to suit your liking, and providing you have cookies enabled on your computer, when you come back next time your colour/font preferences will be remembered. The themes can be chosen from the Theme box down the left hand side.Colours: If there is a a different colour theme you would like, let me know what you want and I'll see what I can do.
Fonts: If you find the default fonts for any given theme to small or too large, you can change the font size using the font themes tiny, small, medium, large and larger. Note that if you change the main theme, the font theme is reset to the one that goes with the main theme, so you have to select your font theme again.
BTW, you don't need to be logged in or signed up to use themes.
Smilies
More smilies now available! Personal icons
Hi all,Every member can now have a personal icon. that is displayed next to all of their messages. You have to go to your own settings page and follow the instructions there. The limitations I am currently imposing are:
- No bigger than 48 x 48 pixels
- No bigger than 5k in size
- Image format must be GIF, PNG or JPEG
Also, your web browser must be able to do the file upload method - not all bowsers can.
Photo galleries
In the photo galleries, you get a page of thumbnails with some info about them. If you click on the thumbnail, you see the whole picture and the messages that people have posted about them. The message board there works just like the other message boards (see the other information about message boards [link]/website/forum/1/[/link]), except that there is only one topic per photo. Remember you can add each photo as a favorite place.
Private messages
You can use the same codes in private messages that you can in normal messages - see here for more information. As a quick taster, you can do this: {b}this{/b} produces: this
{i}italics{/i} produces: italics
You can also use smilies ![]()

Private messages
A bit of info about private messages. Sending You can send a private message by: going to your inbox [link]inbox.php[/link] and using the message box at the bottom of the page looking the user up in the member lists [link]members.php[/link], clicking on their name, and leaving them a message at the bottom of their page.ReceivingYou can choose how to receive your messages on your own Settings page (use the link in your 'Personal' box to the left). The options there are self explanatory. If you store your messages on the website (which is the default), you'll be notified of any new messages in the 'Personal' box to the left, so you don't need to keep checking your inbox page.
Favorite places
You can now add places to a favorite places list. Simply click on the 'Add this' button in your Personal box, and it will be added. To see you whole list at any time, you can click go to your the Favorites page which also has a link in your Personal box. The Favorites page will highlight any pages that have been added to since you last saw them, so you don't need to go trowling through message boards to see if anyone has replied.
Texting
A word of 'netiquette': On message boards, it is best not to use texting style typing in your messages ( typng lik ths 2 mk it shrtr) . You have an entire keyboard - be kind to other users and write in complete words! (complete sentences, even, if you're feeling intelligent!).

HTML
You cannot use any HTML in your posts anymore. However, you can use a set of codes that are very similar to produce bold, italic, underlined and coloured text, as well as lists, links (internal only) and a few other things. You can find info here, or by clicking the more fancy stuff... link on each message form.
