my preferential sport is golf. Seeing as I'm not any good at that, I'll say football... on second thoughts, I'm pants at that so my favourite Sport is badminton. |

+ how about you shut your face, get out there onto a range and learn how to play golf. Then try and say its not a good sport. It has to be one of the greatest sports ever for many reasons which I will tell you some other time. |

+ Rugby is the sport of champions. Football is the most accesible sport to play and is indeed very good (if i'm playing well) cricket is fantastic, probably my best sport, golf is brilliant but I am unfortunatly pathetic at it. I also enjoy playing basketball and tennis depending on where, when and with whom. |

+ Rich... if rugby is a sport for the intellectuals then why are the rugby team at school drop-outs? |
|

+ haha yeh...point well made. We have guys at our school who basically just play rugby.you can spot them a mile away: they're absolutely huge and walk around with this totally gormless look on their faces and they're always coevered in mud...excellent at rugby though.. |

hang on right there, I am on my school rugby team as are a number of good looking chaps. We are all fairly intelligent and only have maybe one or two "durrbwains" who get picked just because of their commitment... Maybe, it is just the southerners who are like this, I don't know. But look at the england rugby team. They actually speak proper a refreshing change from the England football team (and especially Gary "the idiot" Neville) who should really keep their mouths closed. i mean, who else replaces breathing, full stops and commas with the phrase "at the end of the day"... eh? And whose better at Rugby... Cambridge University or Sunderland Polytechnics? |

I said it is the sport of champions not of intellectuals. BUt in comparison to most sports it is as I have explained to you many times. Rugby players are generally clever because up to about 6 years ago rugby was an amatur sport that people played in their spare time. You only have to listen to some of the commentators such as Jeremy Guscott to realise that. Even the ones that look like thugs (Martin Johnson, Will Carling etc) are actually really clever. If you just look at the England team... Josh Lewsey is a Bristol grad, Will Greenwood and Paul Grayson are both Durham grads, Wilkinson was accepted at Durham but decided not to go in order to concentrate on rugby... thats just a couple of examples and of course there are the opposites such as Phil Vickery, a pig farmer who dropped out of school after his GCSE's, but when you hear him speak he's a perfect orator in comparsion to 95% of this lands footballers. And Caz... I play rugby too and i'm not "absolutely huge and walk around with this totally gormless look on their faces and they're always coevered in mud" ok maybe the mud bit is right but the rest isn't |

+ Yeah. The only reason rugby players were clever was because it was amateur. In a few years time it'll be different. Who's going to be better at rugby? A 9 foot Michelin man OR a 5 foot swat? |
